Let’s build something together.

Rodney Cole has planned, designed, co-designed, renewed and built golf courses across the United States and in international destinations like Dubai and Denmark. He has collaborated with premier firms like Bunker Hill (Dan Proctor and Dave Axland), Coore & Crenshaw and Hanse Golf Design on projects ranging from Lions Municipal Golf Course in Austin to Farmington Country Club in Virginia.

From project inception to completion Rodney offers a hands-on, dedicated approach with the intense attention to detail that often separates good from great. His design portfolio reflects this commitment to merging a property’s history and intended use with thoughtful and efficient budgeting, planning and execution. His clients have ranged from large private clubs to small, “mom-and-pop” daily-fee courses—and he thrives at delivering exceptionally playable, beautiful courses on time and on budget.

With his depth of experience as a designer, golf professional, shaper and project manager, Rodney leads projects with modern efficiency and practical wisdom earned first-hand. He is based in Columbia, Tennessee, USA.

About Rodney Cole

I’m one of the few practicing golf course architects with credentials across three important disciplines: I’m a trained landscape architect, a seasoned project manager with extensive budget oversight experience and a 25-year Class A PGA Professional who has worked alongside notable coaches like David Leadbetter, Stan Utley, Mitchell Spearman, Don Hurter, Adam Bazalgette, Don Sargent Jr., Brian Mogg, Robert Baker, Scott Holden, Gary Gilchrist, Andrew Rice, Mike Wilson and Nick Bradley. I’m committed to helping my clients execute their vision and build and renew courses that are strategic, interesting, playable, memorable, efficient to maintain—and most importantly, bring joy to the people who play them.

I welcome the opportunity to discuss your project and explore ways we could build something together.
